Hello everyone,
just changed both fuel pumps got them from a local Volvo junkyard total cost for both $80. Tested both old pumps with jumper wires direct from battery both dead,in tank pump had a split hose from pump to sending unit also.tested both new pumps both run had to do a fair amount of PB blasting to get stuck bung nut and main pump mounting bracket apart but once done with that everything went as planned. Car would start hard and not accelerate before but I thought that was just the bad pumps anyway once the fuel system primed up the car idled normally but when pressing down the gas it sputtered and quit.under the hood,the throttle cable is loose on the lower side is this or anything related a possible problem or could it be something else thanks DK
