hello to all! just wondering, does anyone out there know if these '85 sedans came with a trunk release button somewhere in the car, or was it an option? since we've had this car, i've been wondering about it, we've had the car for about three months, and the only way to get into the trunk is w/ the key! i find this kind of strange, as i think even one of the features listed in the fuse panel is "trunk release". i realize that maybe it's there for only certain models, but, if anyone knows, i'd like to know where the hell the button/lever is! looks like there is wiring goin back to the latch in the trunk, but you can't really tell, as most of it is tucked away. still savin my pennies to buy a Bentley manual, so i can have some good reference material, other than you wonderful people here! my daughter and i have had some comical, yet spirited arguments about the "trunk popper", as she calls it.come to think of it, the other Volvo i had way back when had one, i remember. i found, when i fixed the tail light ass'ys. when we first bought the car, that the trunk light actually worked, it just wasn't wired into anything..... an easy fix, as all i had to do was plug the spade terminal back into the wiring, and voila', light! so, am i missing something? is it just that i haven't found it, or does it not exist. i think it's a handy feature to have, like i said, i just don't even know if this model came with one!! is there a section where we can post pics of our cars in this forum, as in, before, and, hopefully, after, as i'm tryin to find a junker w/ the "euro" style headlamp ass'ys., and grill, which i want for this car. i drive an '82 240D w/ the euro headlamps, and it sets it apart from all the others i see runnin around, i also believe they put out more light than the four headlamp system that's present. being as it's darker than dark in our subdivision, i can tell you that my car's lights put out way more than the ones on this car, which is why i want to make the change-over, besides, i like the look better. take care, louis
