Shocked -- my well cared for 940 is TOAST at 180 K!!!!!!! Why? 900

Hi, guys,
My wife's well-cared for 940 is TOAST -- at 180 K miles. The tranny is shot -- leaking internally, parts dying -- and the cylinder head gasket is leaking, so that water gets out and the radiator needs refilling every week or so...

This is a 940 that's been VERY well taken care of -- all routine maintenance, et cetera...

Yes, we live in mountains in Malibu, lots of up and down, but still...this freaks me out, guys!

Has anybody else had this little K before breakdown? I thought the 940 was good for 300 K at LEAST!!!!
