Buying 740GLE 700 1986

Hello friends,

I own an '87 760GLE with about 250000km. This car is well maintained but requires premium gasoline and the parts are quite expensive, even the basic maintenance. Ive been offered an 86 740GLE with about similar mileage. Besides the difference in 4 and 6 cyl, is there anything else thats different? Are the two cars similar re: parts? Gasoline ( premium/regular)? What should I know before considering buying it.
