my 760GLE (V6) has had this intermitent problem every since i bought it, and frankly...i'm stumped.
here's the problem: no acceleration above 2500-4000 RPM, but only randomly. it feels exactly like fuel starvation. the car has poor acceleration and just hits a brick wall all of the sudden. the strange thing is i can turn the key off and back on and the problem can go away, get worse (lower RPM limit), or be the same.
i've changed almost all of the components in the fuel system. AMM, main fuel pump, fuel filter, in-tank pump, and fuel pump relay. other things i've done: cap & rotor, plug wires, hall sensor, crank sensor, intake manifold seals (this is what the dealer said the problem was), knock sensors, radio supression relay, gas cap, fuel pressure regulator, & both temperature sensors.
i tried swapping the ECU with one from a known good V6 system and the problem was identical.
so whats left? the coil and the injectors? i've checked the engine ground connections and all of the sensor connections...this definitely seems electrical. any help would be greatly appreciated.
