Turn Signal Problem (PV544) 444-544

Who knows how the turn signal switch is set up in the PV544?

I've traced my non-functioning left turn signal to the switch. I'm only getting 4.0 volts out for the left turn signal, 12.5 volts for the right one, which works fine. The left side (front and back) just barely glows.

I know I'm going to have to pull the steering wheel off. That's no huge deal. I can make a puller from some steel bar stock and two bolts.

Once I get that off, I'm hoping the turn signal switch is straight forward and won't require too much cleaning/repair to get it working again.

I've already chacked all the slip-on terminals I can reach inside the steering column cover. Nothing is loose, and wiggling things hasn't caused the left turn signal to work for even a moment. I also checked the flasher relay, but it works fine for the right side and it has only one circuit, so I'm confident that's not the problem.

I think it's odd that I'm getting 4 volts. I'd think that it would be 12 volts or nothing at all.

Any ideas or suggestions?
