I'm experiencing a very slow leak... looks worse on the ground then what's actually leaking, judging from the reservoir level. I changed the oil and filter last night and then I spent some time under the car investigating the leak.

I've replaced radiators before, and I do most all of my own minor maintenance, including tuneups. But it seems there's a lot of flimsy fittings down there compared to other cars I've done! I saw the antifreeze accumulating on the pipes and fittings at the bottom of the radiator and thought, fine... all I have to do is tighten some loose fittings. But upon closer inspection and numerous cleanings while laying under there, it seemed the antifreeze was coming from somewhere above the fittings and simply ending up on them. So... I'm thinking... new radiator.

Is the replacement of the 1992 940 GL radiator something a home mechanic should attempt? I'm getting kind of lazy in my old age, and if it's something a shop can quickly do, I might be inclined to take it in. For those of you with shop experience, what can I expect to pay? Hours? One thing that kind of irks me is that according to my brother (who I bought the car from... he's the original owner)the radiator is two years old at most! I've seen a couple of things that make me wonder about the independent shop he goes to. Anyway... sorry about the too long post! Any feedback is most appreciated!!
