I am interested in a 1993 940 with B230F engine
that is for sale on ebay. In the pictures I dont see
an overdrive lockout button on the auto trans shift
lever. Our current car is a 1991 740 wagon (auto trans)
that does have an overdrive lockout - very useful when driving
in mountainous terrain. Did Volvo eliminate the
overdrive lockout function or is it done in a different way ?
Also want to confirm that a 1041 rear axle label on a 940 always
means the axle is ALD - Automatic Locking Differential.
And a sunroof question - what is the purpose of the sunroof shield or hood
that sticks up above the roofline on some 740/940 with sunroofs ?
Most vehicles with sunroofs dont have it.
Thanks,
Mike (1991 740 Wagon - 296K miles and runs fine)
