Mobil 1 extended performance 10w-30 or Chevron Delo 400 15w-40 for my 400,000 plus mileage 740? 700

Hello guys!

Should I opt for Chevron 15w-40 delo de-waxed quality with a Purolator premium plus oil filter or should I select Mobil 1 extended performance 10w-30 or Extended performance 10w-40 fully synthetic oil, with mobil 1 filters. I know about and have used Amsoil in the past 9no time to wait for shipping/ordering).The hot summer is approaching and I do nothing but highway miles. My 740 wagon non-turbo 8 valve has well over 400,000 original miles! I just want stout protection from the heat and constant highway miles. Does Delo 400 15w-40 contain too much sulfur for gasoline applications? Also What would the difference of my MPG be should I decide to use the heavier diesel oil? Right now I fluctuate between 27-30 mpg (premium gasoline/parts and strict maintenance). Thanks In Advance!!!

1988 740 GLE S.W. Non-turbo 8 valve (fully loaded) AW-70 A.T. 400,000 plus original miles, excellent shape!! And best of all ITS PAID FOR!! It really moves avg speed 80 mph!
