Timing after a valve adjustment 700

I have a 1988 740 GLE B230F automatic sedan with 135,000 miles.

It needed to have the cap, rotor, wires, and plugs replaced, as well as a valve adjustment. I took off the cap, rotor, wires, and plugs, marked the orientation of the rotor, and then went ahead with the valve adjustment. Since I had to turn the crankshaft during the course of the valve adjustment, does that mean that my rotor orientation markings are useless? If I put everything back together now, with the rotor how I had it, will the timing and all still be okay?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

-Greg
