Hey guys and gals.
Have just replaced every single bushing, ball joint and strut in my 89 740 and have a bad clunk when I hit a bump. I replaced the mounts w/ bearings and believe that I may have the culprit. When replacing the mount (bilstein from www.eeuroparts.com) do you need to use the large conical bushing that sits under the nut? This bushing is seen when the hood is open -from bottom to top- mount, bushing then nut. I believe that my problem maybe that the strut nut is not tight enough and maybe to loose.
