Just replaced my ruined M46 tranny with used one from Wrecker that brought it in from Thunder Bay. Also replaced cltch , main seal, pinion seal and pilot.
Car runs great and shifts can be made with one finger. However, 2nd seems to jump out when I lift foot off the gas.
Although, I have a 90 day warranty, I don't want to remove the tranny again and reinstall another one.
Hard work when your on your back and I had few choices finding low mileage trannys with the P-5 overdrive.
Can someone please explain to me why the gear jumps out of engagment and if there is a cure?
Note that I filled it with regular Type F ATF and not synthetic as it costs too much -- approx $15/litre here in WIndsor Ontario.
