There have been some scattered discussions about this on the board.
On my 1982 (M46 Trans with O/D) there is a constant loud whining noise
when driving, even when the transmission is not engaged.
Supposedly, Volvo recommends that the fluid not be changed. It's something about not messing with the existing gunk. So, if not broke don't fix it.
However, I remember noticing some postings recommending that a
complete flush is a good thing.

Any feedback would be appreciated...
