960 transmission 900

Hi all
My sister has 95 960 with 138k miles. She called Monday and gave the bad news about the well maintained car what happened to it. Per her description "As I resumed driving after waiting in a traffic accident for around 20 minutes, the car was sluggish and was not responding to the engine speed. It barely ran at 15 MPH regardless of how hard the gas pedal was pressed. Reached home and parked under carport and opened the hood and nothing looks wrong. Now the car starts normal but it does not engage any gear though the gear selecter shifts into PRNDD2 normal. Once n while it engages reverse but that also moves the car very slowly but often it does not engage at all." I am assigned to look at it as I take care of my two 940's and one 240 myself. This 960 is new to me. I would appreciate as always your help regarding what to look into and troubleshoot the problem.
