Quick Maintenance Question

How often would you say the hoses in a 240 should be replaced? I had all my belts replaced when I bought my car last August, but not the hoses. I have a fantastic mechanic, so I figure he'd have replaced them if it was necessary, but that was a while back. (He did look at the car again recently and didn't mention the hoses.)

Thanks for any advice!
