tranny problem 200 1989

Hi everyone, I'm having some trouble with my tansmission. My '89 245 manual is having trouble shifting into 1st gear from a complete stop. I have to get the car into first gear before it stops moving or it wont go in, atleast not without shoving it in or getting it to go into 3rd, then 2nd, then it will let me go into 1st. When the car is moving, there isn't any trouble shifting into any gear. The car only has 163k miles on it. Might it be a synchronizer going out? Any ideas? thanks a lot.
