Cold start, ok, warm starter won't turn, cool down --starts 700 1990

Checked the FAQ and found no references to this problem. It is hot in TX and thus the problem. When the engine is cool the starter turns and car starts. Shut it down and it will not turn over until it cools. Battery is almost new. Could this be a starter?
