Rear Brake on passenger side won't bleed 200 1989

Greeetings,
I changed calipers and rotors on a 89 245 and proceeded to bleed the system but the passenger side is plugged. I broke the lines and found the blockage is in a cylindrical shaped object about 12 inches in front of the rear axle. What is this thing? Any help would really be appreciated.
