Loss of power, Cold running problems 700 1986

Am a newbie and recently bought an automatic 1986 745 with poor service history that's having funny problems:
1) Its running verrrrrry rich (about 10mpg).
2) Its got no power, though it starts and idles pretty well. Can't get it to over 50mph. The AMM was recently replaced.
3) When its cold it runs even worse, with very very little power. This does improve when the engine gets warmer but overall the power is still decreased. Temp. gauge on dashboard seems to be working fine.
4) It wobbles (from the rear) and this is pronounced when driving at low speed. Can't quite place whether its sideways or up and down.
5) Occassionally when shifting to second gear, it seems to slightly cut out with revs dropping to about 750 but picks up and continues. This only happens on second gear.

Need help where to start solving these problems and suggestions on what could be the problem.
