I replaced the sway bar bushings and lower control arm bushings in my 1997 960 wagon with 162K miles. Until then, the front end was real noisy. It creaked, popped and clunked continuously. Replacing the bushings quieted it down a lot and most of the creaking and clunking is gone. But the popping is still there. It seems to only happen at low speeds and high steering angles (such as pulling into my driveway). What could I have missed?
BTW: While I was in there, I checked and cleaned the brakes. I know bad calipers can cause a popping sound somtimes, but they look good.
