Hello everybody. I'm going to sell my 1987 Volvo that I've had for a grand total of about a month or so. I'm selling it because, to be honest, I'm really just a good-ole boy Chevy man.

I bought the volvo knowing that the turbo wasn't working, thanks to you guys here, I checked all the hoses and the hose from the turbo to the pressure relief valve had a hole in it. I hopped down to the auto parts store, found a radiator hose that fit (sorta), and fired it up and it runs great, turbo spooling up and everything. The transmission is messed up, shift from 1-2 is abrupt, 2-3 you have to let up all the way off the gas, and OD only comes on when coasting down a hill. Someone on here said to try a transmission flush, but I never got around to that.

The engine actually sounds pretty good, it's only got about 111k on the odometer. I believe there's a leak of some sort on the very front of the engine, I'm thinking it's coolant, but not entirely sure about that. I've been running the car once a week around my block a few times and it's definitely got some pickup and runs pretty durn good! The idle at nuetral is a little bit rough, but that might just be from the cheap regular gas that the previous owner put in.

The interior is in decent shape, but the best part is that nearly all the power accessories work. The heated seats work, the driver's power seat works, although the recline only moves one side, so you might end up sitting crooked. Power windows all work, although passenger side rear window is sticky. The Moonroof opens and closes and doesn't leak, although if you open it, the wind deflector in the front it bent and makes you have to give the moonroof and extra push to close it, and if you just open the vent the felt seal gets pushed up and you have to push it back down to open it again. Power mirrors work, but the driver's side mirror is cracked. Air conditioning is shot, not really sure what's the deal with it, but i added a few cans and it did nothing, so I'm assuming it's a leak (especially cause i coudln't get a reading with the pressure guage). The seats are in decent condition, with a few small tears but nothing horrible like the seats are falling apart. The radio display sometimes comes on, but most of the time it doesnt, although the radio and eq work.

When I bought the car the insturment panel's light fuse was out, and the oil pressure light was flickering as well. I put a new fuse in, changed the oil and the oil pressure light seems to have been fixed.

None of the tires match each other, and 2 of them are in bad shape, so new tires would be a very good idea, and one hubcap is missing. The paint on the roof and trunk is messed up. The car failed NJ inspection last year (i think) for the cracked mirror, taillight out, inop blinker, all stupid little stuff. It did pass emissions though! I belive the driver's side front blinker is cracked, and the passenger side backup light pops out from the top (like a hinge).

It really is a pretty decent car, even if it my description doesn't make it seem that way, I just hate when I buy a car off ebay, or go drive to see something from an ad and people "neglect" to mention problems with it, no matter how big/small they are. I don't think I'd hesitate to drive this car up to my work (50 miles one way) for the week. If you were interested in fixing it up and using it as a daily driver, or just a parts car of some sort I don't think you could go wrong.

The car's located a little bit south of Bordentown, NJ TPK exits 5 or 7 both get you to my house in 15 minutes.
