Crank no start on sister's car - help! 900 1992

Hello, all. I am sorry to post what probably is a very common problem, but I could not find the answer by searchung the archives.

My sister's 940 cranks very well, but no start. I have not checked if it's the spark or the fuel yet except for checking the fuel pump fuse (was ok). I am visiting my sister and don't have any tools here, so my options are limited. I will go to the autoparts store and buy a spark plug wrench at least to see if there is spark. Any other suggestions will be welcome.
