car 'lurches' as i come to a stop and shift from second into first(manual transmission) 200

My sister's '92 240 has over the past two weeks begun to "lurch" forward as it comes to a stop and one shifts from second into first. Any insight into this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :)
