After running Boge Pro-Gas for 50K miles one of the rear ones has blown out, I've got a bad suspension rattle on that corner and when I rock the car that shock makes a sound like water squishing around in a plastic bag. The other three corners seem to be OK.
So, my first question is can I get away with changing out just the rear two shocks, or is 50K on Boge gas enough mileage gone by to do all four?
If it makes answering easier, the rubber in the strut bearings is starting to crack, but I think they could go a while longer.
That leads to question two... What's the difference between SKF, Scan-Tech, and MTC strut bearings from fcp? I remember a post saying that they're identical pieces in different boxes. Is there any fact behind this claim, or is it all lies, misinformation, and innuendo?
Thanks for your help.
