Will 3 speed auto tranny from '82 245 be okay in '80 262? 200

I finally have found a three-speed auto tranny in a pick and pull. It is in a 1982 245. I need one for my 1980 262 which has been converted to a b21. Do you think that the gearing will be the same in the two transmissions?
