Seat heater thermostats - are they directional? 200 1987

I needed to repair the seat heater on the passenger side, and removed the thermostat to solder the thermostat connectors, one of which was broken. But I did not make any notes on how it was positioned, silly me. So the question is, when reinstalling, is polarity something to consider?
