Check Engine Light 98 V90 900

My V90 has been running flawlessly since I bought it in November.
The 'Check Engine Light' came on for the first time today. The engine runs fine, not rough, no noises. The issue is I need to take it on a 600 mile drive
in the next 2 days and doubt I will have the chance to get it in to see what code is causing the light to come on. I always thought the Check Engine Light was related to OBDII and emissions control. Could be a loose gas cap, could be time to replace the O2 sensor and anything in between but nothing critical or damaging to the vehicle.

Is it OK to drive that distance without checking the code??
