Hi! I have used my -58 544 for commuting 35 km each way the last days, as the roads are much quieter now. The car runs great, and with new tyres and a recent full break job done, she's a pleasure to drive. Only thing I have noticed lately, is that if I give her full throttle on the highway, the engine "hesitates", sometimes close to stumbling. Just easing the pressure on the pedal makes the problem disappear instantly.
So, what could this be? Fuel supply or ignition adjustment? I know after the break job that I have an obstruction to the fuel line where it leaves the tank, could it be that not enough fuel can be delivered for full throttle accelleration? I have also tried to blindly adjust the nozzles of the SU carburettors in order to give a little richer mixture, but this has not improved the situation.
I know that I should spend a full day in doing both the ignition and the carburettors, but haven't had the time yet.
Any advice highly appreciated!
