I am changing the timing belt this weekend on my 1993 940 turbo with ~190,000 miles.
I plan on changing the tensioner and seals as well as the drive belts. I have no record of when the timing belt/tensioner was last changed.
I was wondering what the consensus is on changing the harmonic balancer while I am in there. From the FAQ it seems that the balancer usually lasts about 150,000 miles. Based on this, it seems like it would be prudent to slap a new one in there while it is all apart.
Thoughts?
