85 240 water pump leak 200 1985

I just popped the hood on my daughters 240 (145k mi)and noticed a bit of coolant on the top of the water pump and a amall drip on the back side of it also. I am guessing that it is time for a new pump? Or is there a stop leak product that I could put in the radiator to stop the leak? If it needs the pump is there any other maintenence that should be done while I have it off? I'm not much of a mechanic and not sure how hard the replacement is. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
