Hey brick owners!
Got a 240 thats about a quarter century old. I was tightening my AC belt by removing 4 bolts and 2 nuts from the crankshaft pulley and moving the shims. Got the belt nice and snug again. But when I was tightening the bolts again, one snapped! They looked in piss poor shape to begin with, I shoulda gotten new ones but I was lazy - it is 4th of July weekend. So, now, I got one less bolt holding the front half of the pulley on. Plus, the nuts are kinda stripped, so I don't know if they are at full torque.
So, can I chance driving the car or am I just gonna tear somethin up? I don't wanna be trapped at home the next couple days if I can help it.
Any of you guys have the exact measurements for the bolts and nuts on the front, so I can go to my parts shop Tuesday and tell em what I need, or should I just unscrew a few more to bring em?
Thanks,
The Creeper
