Hello All:
I recently had my '92 245 recharged with r134a. It worked great for a couple of days (39F at the vents on the highway). After a couple days, the performance diminished-- the compressor cycled more frequently, and the auxillary electric fan only came on periodically, instead of nearly always.
Today I took it back to the shop to look for leaks-- I see two spots on high side lines with a bit of oil on them, so I will be shopping for some new lines ($$$$). We did note something strange-- the accumulator was warm, and the high side line (the one that runs by the passenger side frame rail) was cold and sweating! What is the deal with this? This seems backwards to me...
Can anyone enlighten me?
