i made it!! slight problem today but at least i'm already in NY 120-130

I made it from AZ to NY. Thanks to everyone for their help. No real problems. Decided to drive at night to keep the temp. down.

Last night my car wouldn't start. It was cranking really weak. I didn't know if it was the alternator or battery. The store said the battery needed to be replaced and when i did it it started right up. Is there any way to know if its an alternator problem as well? can i check it at the store w/o taking it out of the car. The alternator is not too old.
