Squeeks, creaks, pops and groans 900

coming from the front left wheel well of my 93 940. The squeeking is getting worse. It is most noticeable when at slow speeds breaking into and out of turns. Goes away in cruise on the highway. When turning to the right, I can often hear a popping noise. No popping when turning to the left. When parked, I can bounce the car up and down from the front with no noise what so ever. The car doesn't sag or lean on a level surface. I looked underneath the car and can't see anything obviously wrong. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.
