i pulled off the intake manifold and throttle body and all that crap to trace the extent of the wiring that is eroding and surely leading to mulitiple problems. almost all of the wiring looks similar to what would happen if it were made of sugar and got water poured on it. its almost gooey. i am going to splice into the wires at the good parts and cut out all the junky stuff. anybody had to do this? also, almost all the hoses seem in bad shape too, so i might do all that as well.
