Can an 85 Fuel Pump be substituted for a 73 fuel pump? 1800 1973

Hello all,

Trying to get the beast going, and my fuel pump seeps gasoline. There's a fuel pump on Ebay from an 85 Volvo that the seller states can be used on a 73 just by changing the electrical connection and hoses.

Is this true? Hate to put non-original parts on the car
