Hi! Got this problem and its driving me nuts..
this might be the dimmer, since i've seen it mentioned somewhere else but just to get a second opinion heres the story..

I purchased one of those used accessory small clocks that fill out one of the gauge slots beside the instrument panel and it works perfectly. I connected it behind the large tach on the instrument panel (because i think thats where it goes, the clock brought a three connection plug that fits into it)...
Problem is that when I go to try to see if the small clock lights up at night, i notice the whole dash instrument panel and other miscellaneous lights (like the shift indicator and airconditioner, etc lights) dont work!! I tried the fuse panel and the fuse is fine, the headlights and rear lights work fine and other interior lights work also, like the warning lights, gearbox light and that little light that illuminates the floor to the back seats... I tried moving the dimmer around to see if it was that I turned the lights down, but that didnt do anything.

I read somewhere here that it might be that the dimmer went bad, but since I just installed that small clock, I thought it might be something else. Maybe by mistake I shorted something? I really dont think I did anything, everything was pretty straightforward..I plugged the clock to the back of the tach behind the instrument panel and that was it, no fiddling with other cables..so I dont know. And the clock works fine, so i'm guessing thats where it really goes connected...so unless I did something wrong there shouldnt be a problem...

Has anybody had this problem!? HELLLPPPPP!!
