Thanks to everyone who posted to help me with my recent fuel pump noise problems. It turned out ot be a bad fuel pressure regulator, and after replacement they sound fine.
However, on my test drive after replacing the FPR I noticed my lights were dim. I checked voltage at the batery and it was 11.5 volts. I had charging problems on the car last week which went away when I replaced the fuel pump relay. The old relay was still working so I am not sure why it would have caused a charging problem.
Has anyone had any charging proplems caused by fuel system issues? The alternator is good. It is new and I had it bench tested when I was having problems last week. Last week I replaced the D+ and checked for problems in the B+ wire. It is acting like the alternator is charging(no battery light when running), but some load in the system is drawing the voltage down below 12 volts.
Any ideas?
Thanks
