1984 Oil Light 200 1984

I've got a 1984 245DL turbo. After driving the car for 15-20min, the oil light comes on when at idle. If I step on the accelerator, the oil light goes out. However, if I continue to drive the oil light will come on and stay on regardless of the engine RPMs. Has anyone ever seen this before. Do I really have an oil pressure issue or could it be a funky electrical issue? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
