Keeping door switch when adding keyless entry. 700

I went to a junkyard and got all the parts needed from a passenger front 740 door to add the motor and linkage to have a power lock on the front driver side. I had hoped to keep the switch on the drivers door to operate the locks when the knob is pushed but the switch is in the way of the new linkage. Anyone figure a way to keep the switch and add an actuator?
