newbie seeks header/exhaust advice 120-130 1966

Greetings Brickboard!
I've recently added a blue '66 122S to my garage, and the exhaust hole is next on the list of fixes. I have already sourced a windshield and a right rear trailing arm. Internet searches and scanning the past through this site have shown me a little information about exhaust options, but not the real life feedback I'm hoping for.

I've seen stahl, ipd, vpd and unitek listed as various header and exhaust sources. I currently have the twin SUs that were stock (this car appears utterly stock, right down to the original radio), and have thought that when I have enough money to rebuild the tired engine I may convert to twin side draft webers, but that's a future dream.

The folks at ipd said their headers are not 'performance' headers, but rather an 'affordable option' to replacing the exhaust with stock pieces.

What headers are folks running with, and where have you sourced them? Are their any companies with dreadful fitment issues?

I'm steeped in an Italian car past, and anything beyond Ansa headers has escaped my notice the last few years.

Thank you for any feedback and help deciding.

Jonathan
