Ignition (key) switch not returning 700 1988

Yesterday, after I started my car, there was a noise from under the hood(which soon went away), and: windows wouldn't open, A/C would not work, sunroof would not open(it was hot outside). I eventually noticed that the ignition switch had not returned to the "run" position. I moved it there, and everything was fine.
Is there a way to lubricate the ignition switch so that it returns properly?
