Could A/C temp be affected by evaporator foam filter? 900 1991

I am having A/C vacuumed and leak tested today (thought about using money for ebay vac pump and gauges), and got to thinking about those little greasy foam pieces coming out of vents. Could this be clogging evaporator causing A/C temp problem? It is on the vent side, so did not know if this could be a problem (maybe the foam is dirty and restricting air).

Just wonder if worth looking into, but not excited about getting to it.
