roaring noise at 50mph 900 1993

Need help to know what is wrong. About 2 weeks ago, I noticed whenever the speed touches about 50mph, the engine noise gets louder and roaring along. As soon as I let off the accelerator and let the car cruise along the noise goes away. What is likely wrong with it. FYI, engine mounting changed 2 years ago. So not likely to be mounting.
