the temp gauge on my '90 240 has recently started to fluctuate wildly. it's always been steady at about halfway between the bottom and the mid-point, but now it's going from there to halfway above the mid-point, and lingering for a few miles (i've only observed this at highway speeds) before dropping back down. is this anything to be concerned about? i was thinking it might be as simple as a screwy thermostat. the car has a little over 300k miles on it and i worry about it.
