two green wires connected to rubber boot on accumulator-dryer melted together 700 1991

1)my wife was driving the car in mid-summer. The A/C stopped blowing cold air and the turn signals and the windows stopped working as well.(fuse #9 was blown, I had no more 15A, so I replaced with a 30A, I know,I know, bad idea!!)
2)I had a problem with a bad turn signal socket that was going to ground. i figured that I wouldn't use the turn signal until I fixed the socket. (A/C blows ice cold)
3)After repairing turn signal I noticed two green wires connected to rubber boot on accumulator-dryer melted together.
4)I separated the wires, hoping that they were rubbing together. The wires still become extremely hot to the touch when A/C is running (A/C is still cold with 30A fuse. 15A fuses still blow.)
The car is a 1991 740 wagon. I didnt notice anything pertaining to this in the the 700/900 FAQ's that I love so much, please help!! thanks.
