Bulb Failure Light 200 1990

I know a complex system like the bulb failure warning light is fraught with potential problems, but maybe someone can help with this, anyway: When I apply the brakes, my bulb failure light comes on for a very brief moment, then goes off. It doesn't always happen, the light doesn't go on when I turn on any other lights. Is there perhaps an adjustment I need to make?
