You guys were spot on.

It was indeed the freeze plug, and it was a good thing that happened cause the clutch was going as well as a few of the fuel injection lines.

got it on the road and was running great and then...

I got that clunking sound like it was a bum universal joint.-especially when I wasn't accelerating.

the thing is, after all the engine and tranny work, this seems like a nice change.
