I installed a cc from sears. This is basicallt the same as the late seventies CC from volvo. Dana control box and cable /vacuum accuator. I posted recently about wether I needed a constant vacuum source and most (including myself) thought I would. Well after years of learnign the hard way I decided to keep it simple, I installed the system using the balance tube of the intake manifold as vac source. took it for a drive and amazingly it works great! The lack of vac of at full open throttle means the car does not floor the throttle when trying to get up big hills, this is kind of nice as it saves on gas, the long cable seems to smooth out on/off throttle settings so the cc is actually smoother than the system on my van. As I am now on vacation and pounding in the miles. On long trips the CC keeps me relaxed and helps stop me from speeding, which is why I like having a CC so much. Any and all who have an interest in setting this up in their car I will be glad to offer what knowledge I have of this. I looked around quite a bit for info on CCs and there is not much out there.
