My car still feels loose after replacing the sway bar bushings, ball joints, and strut rod bushings. The tie rod ends checked out OK (with spring loaded up as per the suggestion from another BBer ). Now I am kinda convinced the shock absorbers are due for the change. Before placing order, I would like to have suggestions for the following questions:
1. I want a combination of comfort and control, would Sachs Advantage from fcpgroton.com be a good choice? Are they the so called Boge turbo gas that many people seem to like? And are they OEM of volvo?
2. Besides the four shock absorbers, what else should I order to finish the job? I have checked the rubber bushings on top of the strut mount (in engine ompartment), and they do not seem to crack.
3. On IPD's site, they claimed most spring compressors out there would not fit Volvo's springs because of their large diameters. Is this true? Just wonder if anyone successfully used the spring compressor loaner from Autozone.
4. I could not find top and bottom bolts available on fcpgroton.com. Do they carrry them?
Thanks in advance.
